Shipping and Logistics Career Development Program
The gap between university and the real world is closing. Cargonomics' Shipping and Logistics Career Development Program is an exclusive, 5-day intensive designed to take the brightest graduating talent and place them directly into the heart of the shipping and logistics industry.
This is not open enrollment. We hand-select 30-40 students based on academic excellence and a clear ambition to build a long-term career in shipping. The program is sponsored (no fees) for selected students. Cargonomics vets, trains, and certifies talent so hiring partners can recruit with confidence from a pre-qualified pool.
Why Apply?
Learn from veterans with over 50 years of combined experience in the Vietnamese and international shipping markets. This is not theory. This is how the industry actually works.
Step out of the classroom and onto the docks with a full-day guided port excursion. See the mechanics of global trade in action, from container yards to vessel operations.
Graduate with a credential that signals to employers you are "day-one ready." Your certification tells hiring partners you have been assessed on technical knowledge, communication, and professional readiness.
Our founders are deeply connected across the Vietnamese logistics landscape. We don't just help you apply. We bypass the gatekeepers and place our top graduates directly into roles within our network of industry partners.
Economies rise and fall. Logistics never stops. Shipping and logistics is one of the world's most essential and resilient industries, and Vietnam sits at the centre of one of its fastest-growing corridors.
Where Graduates Are Placed
Top graduates are placed directly with leading logistics companies like Gemadept, Vina Logistics, and Saigon Port, who trust Cargonomics to vet and certify talent. Our network is drawn from more than 50 years of combined senior leadership across global shipping and logistics.

Curriculum
Understand why global trade exists, how Vietnam operates as an export-driven economy, and how the supply chain connects factories, ports, carriers, and customers across borders.
Learn who does what in the logistics ecosystem: ports and terminal operators, shipping lines and airlines, freight forwarders and 3PLs, inland transport, customs, and regulatory authorities.
Master the language of shipping: Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF), cost responsibility, risk transfer, and the operational vocabulary (BL, AWB, FCL/LCL, CY/CFS) used in every logistics role.
Explore courier, air, ocean, and inland transport. Understand when and why each mode is used, then follow a real shipment from factory floor to final customer.
Identify container types (dry, reefer, flat rack, open top, tank), cargo categories (general, refrigerated, dangerous goods, oversized), and the equipment that moves them.
Navigate the paperwork that keeps trade moving: commercial invoices, bills of lading, customs declarations, certificates of origin. Learn why documentation accuracy is essential to clearance, delivery, and payment.
Follow the money through global trade: how payments, letters of credit, freight pricing, and risk flow between buyer, seller, bank, and carrier. Finance is where shipping either works or breaks.
From selection to onboarding and beyond: the port excursion, your certification, placement support, and the Cargonomics alumni network that stays with you through your career.
